In short, these gloves offer great protection and dexterity, without the added cost of "brand name."
New Rider here,
I was looking for as much protection as possible without breaking the bank. I read a lot of reviews for ILM gloves; most riders say they are very protective in a crash, so I figured I'd take a chance on these. These gloves seem well made, with padding and armor in all the right places (knuckles, wrist, palm, finger joints), with the nice addition of leather joining the ring and little fingers. They broke in nicely and are very comfortable; no issues operating controls. I haven't worn them in hot weather yet, but they're perfect on nice days, and sufficient for a short ride in colder weather. I'm a size small, so the M fits just a tad loose, bit it hasn't been an issue when riding, and I don't feel like the glove would get ripped off in a crash.
Downsides: Velcro wrist closure is peeling up after a few months, but it's fixable with hand stitching. The tags like to pop out of the glove, also fixable with a quick stitch. The gloves don't quite have enough dexterity to grab zippers or get cards out of my wallet, and they take longer to put on/ take off than short gloves, but it's a trade off for a gauntlet style.
Would buy again. - M / White (Long)
